Trainer/Coach: Chiddy Mgbor, Nicknames: GADY & Lampard
I was born in Germany and raised in Nigeria. I am blessed to have lived in Nigeria, Germany, Saudi Arabia and now USA for 18 years. This has given me the opportunity to be trilingual. I am fluent in Ibo, English and Arabic. Fast forward, soccer has been my life since the age of six. At 15, I was touring around with the Olympic gold medalist soccer team of Nigeria while they trained in Enugu, Nigeria. As a young lad, I spent time studying the game and collecting autographs from all those gold medalists prior to their men’s soccer victory in Atlanta 1996. In all, It became an instant love. This love led me to pursue college and educational scholarships (Lander University-NSCAA Div 2- Elite 8 in 2005-Ranked in NCAA offensive statistics in scoring and assists 2001-2005), semi-pro – Saturn FC (NPSL) and other soccer obligations (ATL Eagles, Lawrenceville FC, Yardaz FC, ATL Lions, Gwinnett Veterans, Alianza El Savador FC, etc) in the USA in 2001-Present. I was coached by a UEFA licensed coach all through college and he taught me how to win!
In January 2017, as a professional banker with an M.B.A in Logistics and Supply Chain, I decided to give back and coach youth soccer. This was one of the best decisions I ever made in my professional work life. I have been involved in youth and adult club soccer coaching. I dual coached Gwinnett Soccer Academy (GSA) U-14 girls and West Jackson middle school for two years (till 2019). I have also trained over 30 individuals on 1 on 1 basis in Jackson county who have specific goals/needs in improving offensive, defensive and goal- keeping techniques. This coaching skill has led me to focus on players mastering the emotional, mental and physical aspect of the game. My goal is to enhance both individual’s and team’s attributes to achieve excellent levels in soccer. Furthermore, I am still an active player who understands what players are currently going through day to day. I currently participate in many national league tournaments throughout the U.S.A which have involved World footballers of year (George Weah of Liberia). I have also played alongside with Borussia Dortmund player like Ghanian Bashiru Gambo. My wealth of experience has allowed me to understand the game socially, professionally and semi-professionally.
